“…can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? And be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? ” Mark 10:38

In our discussion yesterday, we learnt that God wants to bless us by making deposits in our lives. But the deposits from God also come with a challenge. And what we do with the challenge usually determines how much of God?s deposits in our lives we can enjoy. Do you know that many people meet God daily and their lives are never impacted, because they run excitedly with God?s promises of blessings but never respond to His challenge. So let me ask you today: can you stand to be blessed? Will you respond appropriately to God?s challenge in your life or will you be lazy and make excuses? Consider your spiritual growth and progress over the last few years. How have you been doing? Do you know how many people have opportunities to step up in their spiritual lives but never use their God-given opportunities? Spiritual maturity does not have to take 10 years of sitting in the church listening to sermons Sunday in and Sunday out. The disciples that worked with Jesus had only 3 years to walk with Him in person. The next thing you hear is they are ministering to multitudes of people and turning cities upside down. God wants to do great things with you. And He wants to begin with your spiritual development. Remember that material, emotional, financial and physical prosperity all happen only after spiritual prosperity. So take this challenge today: become a ?God-Chaser.? Begin to flap your spiritual wings. Find someone to pray for, minister to, witness to, etc. Make God your Number One. Then watch Him open Heaven over your life. Every struggle is broken over your life from today, in Jesus? Name. Amen.
