Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

June 24: Developing Wealth “Be-Attitudes”

He becomes poor who works with a slack and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

–  Proverbs 10:4 (AMP)

Read:  Numbers 13:27-30; Genesis 12:9-10

Today, let us take a look at and try to define certain characteristics of the wealthy. Wealthy people are diligent. Diligence is marked by perseverance, painstaking effort and care; it requires expending mental or physical energy in activities such as going to school or learning a trade. The wealthy pay close attention to details and they persevere. Perseverance is the steady persistence in sticking to a course of action, a belief, or a purpose. So, wealthy people are not hasty or impatient (Proverbs 21:5) but are busy and fully engaged in the pursuit of their assignment. The wealthy are bold and adventurous; fearless, daring and courageous. They are willing to undertake and seek out new enterprises. They discount dangers and perils but calmly and resolutely face them without flinching. The wealthy have the “can-do spirit.” Philippians 4:13 (AMP) says, “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].” They have the “spirit of faith.” Those who obtained the Promised Land in Numbers chapters 13 and 14, had the “can-do” spirit of faith; the losers were the fearful and the unbelieving.  That is why in II Timothy 1:7 we are reminded, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Child of God, arise today and start to prophesy these attributes into your life.  The Holy Spirit will help you live like the wealthy, in Jesus name. Amen.
