A closer, stronger relationship with God begins from the cry of the heart. I like to describe God as a ‘Heart God,’ not ‘Physical Appearance God.’ God looks beyond what most people see; into the heart. His decisions are based on what He sees in our hearts. There has to be a desire in your heart if you want to go to a higher place with God. You will not be satisfied with life if you have a complacent covenant walk with God. Having a good bible or going to church every week isn’t good enough. God has so much more for you in your Christian walk if you will develop a strong desire in your heart. The Word of God says in James 4:8, ‘Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.’ When we draw near to God by doing what He instructs, and yearn for Him with our hearts, He will in turn draw near to us. Ask God for that strong desire in your heart today. I see you going higher!
