Several years ago, we went on a family vacation to Bournemouth, England. As with most people, we kept a very hectic schedule, hardly ever getting any time for recreation. But when we traveled to Bournemouth, the beach side experience was absolutely refreshing, and we could have camped out there forever! You see Heaven is very much like that in so many ways. That is our resting place from all the toiling of this present world. There’s no pain, no sorrow, no death, no sickness, no bills, etc. When Jesus taught about heaven, he talked about mansions. He talked about treasures that could not be corrupted, and he talked about rewards. When you have a clear picture of Heaven, it defines how you live today. Make sure you are investing in the kingdom of God and laying up incorruptible treasures. What you put in is what you’ll get out eventually. Don’t live big on earth at the expense of your eternal security. Keep your heart set on Heaven. That is wisdom!
