For every child of God, showers of blessings are promised. Indeed we see these showers all around us. However, for most people, there is a “worm in the juicy apple.” These intolerable, joy-sapping, life-ruining worms are what the scriptures call Chains of slavery, Strongholds, or Bands of Yokes (KJV). They were introduced deliberately by the devil to frustrate and eventually to destroy us. E.g. fornication, lack of truthfulness, backbiting, jealousy, rebellion against God’s authority and spiritual leadership, uncontrollable fits of anger, etc. These chains or bands must be destroyed, if we are to enjoy the showers God sends our way. They must be identified by us and brought to the Lord for complete destruction. Those are the obtrusive forces sent from Satan to hinder us from receiving or enjoying the light of God. But you are free from them today in Jesus Name. Claim that freedom today and begin to walk in it. Hallelujah!
