Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

August 28: Taking Your Rightful Place

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” – Ephesians 2:6 (NIV)

Read: Ephesians 2:6; Colossians 3:1, 2

It is not enough to know what our inheritance is as children of God. We need to step up and actually lay hold of them. So the first key is the knowledge and understanding that these blessings and graces are available to us. Secondly, there must be faith and boldness to step into them; and thirdly, we need to put on the garment of righteousness so the enemy does not have access to steal what belongs to us. All these happen as we draw closer to the Holy Spirit in our relationship with Him. The fact that you have a seat in the Heavenly places marked with your name, does not guarantee that you are seated there. Many believers’ seats are unoccupied. These believers would rather live and operate from a much lower level: A level of fear, struggle, pain, despair and trials and error. Where are you operating from today? You were not created to struggle and limp through life. You were not created for a life of “hit and miss.” Tell yourself, “It’s time to come up; It’s time to take my rightful place.” Give the Holy Spirit access to your life so He can take you there. First He will show you the reality of that realm. Second, He will help you to set your desires on that realm. Invite Him in today.
