Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

August 10: Flirting With Darkness

…and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.Isaiah 10:27

Read: Isaiah 10:27; Mark 5:1-18; 1 John 3:8

It is important that as children of God, we wise up and not allow the enemy continue to take advantage of us. Whenever we lose sight of God’s light or fail to obey His instructions, we create openings for the enemy to cheat us out of our blessed inheritance. He sneaks in on us like a thief in the night and spreads himself like a cancer if not quickly arrested. Many people become bound with “yokes” around their neck simply by being careless in their Christian lives. What is a yoke? In times past they were put round the necks of oxen to make them do whatever the master wanted, it is something that the devil introduces into our lives so that he can exert control and inflict pain on us. It is the devil claiming ownership of a life. Through these, he makes people do what they really don’t want to do. He makes a married man consistently have extramarital affairs, even though he loves his wife and knows he is in danger of losing her. People find themselves hurting themselves and others and feel very helpless. Depression, anger, emotional torments and anger all feel comfortable where darkness has a foothold. But the anointing of God can destroy these yokes and you can be completely set free. All you need to do is (1) acknowledge that you have these yokes (2) despise them and renounce them (3) ask to be prayed for by an anointed vessel of God. I declare the light of God upon you right now! I dislodge every stranger from your life. You are free in Jesus Name. Amen.
